Victorian Terrace, bedroom make-over

A bedroom within a large terraced house, high ceilings and character. The clients wanted suggestions of how to decorate the room, to make the most of the inbuilt storage & make it more accessible and user friendly. They also wanted to incorporate some form of bedside storage, reading lights and a dressing table without down grading from a king size to double bed.

English Country Garden

The client had a very clear idea of what she wanted but required help in pulling the scheme together and advice on where to source props. She wanted to use as many sustainable materials as possible, move away from using plastics and encourage as much wildlife in as possible.
The garden is very long, narrow and exposed with low fenced boundaries and very little privacy. They also wanted a way of creating shade over the patio area close to the house. They enjoy having friends round for drinks in the garden they needed an area for seating etc.

Green Oasis

This is the bathroom of my victorian terraced house, a good sized space measuring 3.3 x 1.4m with a lovely high ceiling. I have created a Scandinavian green oasis adorned with plants and natural touches. It would have been easy to create a wet room but I wanted to keep the bath and didn't want it to dominate the room. I radically changed the feel of the space by relocating the bath and creating more floor space. I used green for the wall for it's calming and organic qualities. I just love plants as they grow and develop. Most of the accessories are sourced from charity, I'm always adding new pots and plants to it so it continues to morph and change over time. One of my best thrifting finds I was the retro bamboo plant stand, I just love it, it's great for trailing plants and it adds height.
