Revitalising Retail & Interior spaces

Lockdown has forced us all to spend more time in our homes and encouraged us to pay attention to our surroundings like never before.

Even for those of us who have already returned or plan to return to the office, the expectation is that it will be blended with working from home for some of the time. As a result, we need to re-imagine how we’re using the home space we have, and ensure it fits both our personal and working lives. Particularly from a work point of view, if your only contact with a client or colleague is virtually, it’s important that your environment sends the right message and creates the right impression. Take a look around your surrounds now – what does your environment say about you?

I offer a styling service to a whole host of customers and businesses, from homeowners, sole traders working from home to high street retailers. It’s a service designed to inspire others to reimagine their home and garden spaces, furniture and accessories to make the best of them and where possible, incorporate vintage items that reflect their individuality. My passion for preloved items paired with a desire to turn the tide on our throwaway society, really does sit at the heart of my work. Of course, there may be times when a client has a very clear idea for a piece of furniture or accessory or needs to re-style their environment at pace. They may not be prepared to hunt down that elusive item (or indeed wait for it to find them!) and choose instead to buy new furniture and accessories. Where this is the case, my advice is to opt for timeless quality that can grow with you and your space.

Your environment should tell a story about who you are. Together with my client, I explore this through colours, shapes and themes. We might opt for a short-term look – in fact, if their products or taste change seasonally, it’s certainly worth updating the backdrop to reflect that. We also look at how they use their space – do they fulfil their work sitting down or standing up? Similarly, how much space do they have to work with? If there’s a shortage of space, there’s little point bringing in an oversized dresser or armchair – no matter how much they love it!

I like to think that, with my experience and eye for shape, colour and design, I can help bring a WOW factor to any ‘shop’ window or home interior – whether that be in a retail or virtual setting. You can read more about me on my 'About' page.
